I received my BSc in psychology from the State University of New York and continued my career as a clinical psychologist and researcher at the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Patients Association. At postgraduate level, I studied at the University of Strasbourg, and at the University of Edinburgh, where I obtained an MSc in human cognitive neuropsychology from the latter. At that time, I joined the neuropsychology team of Astley Ainslie Hospital, where I worked on cognitive stimulation and relaxation interventions. I hold a PhD in Experimental Psychology & Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh and the University Suor Orsola Benincasa of Naples. During my PhD, I was a VR specialist and workshops coordinator at uCreate Studio of the University of Edinburgh, and I affiliated with the human cognitive neuroscience research team of the Department of Psychology, and the interdisciplinary research centre “Scienza Nuova”. I am a Virtual Reality software developer certified by the University of London. I have a knack for interdisciplinary research, cultural, and educational projects. Currently, I am a post-doctoral researcher (Human-Computer Interaction & Cognitive Neuroscience) and a member of the Hybrid team “3D Interaction with Virtual Environments using Body and Mind” at the National Research Institute of Computer Science and Automation of France (INRIA). I work on the EU - Horizon 2020 - TACTILITY project.
